Palit RTX 5070 Ti GameRock OC Review

Should you be familiar with the Palit GameRock card design then the big product shot on the RTX 5070 Ti GameRock shows how much they’ve toned things down. It’s positively understated.
In the flesh that carries on. With the fan surrounds stacked like Chichen Itza you get a near prismatic effect. Even with the bare minimum of colour being reflected here you can see how much things change. Any larger of a prismatic effect and it would need to be sponsored by Pink Floyd.
There is a lot to be said for simplicity. Once Nvidia demonstrated that a vent in the backplate had huge cooling benefits, everyone copied it. As you’ve seen from other 5000 series reviews we’ve written, many manufacturers are using this huge hole as a canvas to add extra design touches. Almost forgetting it exists to aid cooling. Palit haven’t forgotten and the backplate of the GameRock is simple and all in service of functionality.
The cooler itself is identical in size and design to the one we saw on their RTX 5080 GameRock. Given that the RTX 5070 Ti architecture is less demanding and generates less heat, this should ensure we have cool temperatures even under the harshest conditions.
A closer look at the fan surrounds really shows off how the colours shift and change as they move through each ‘step’. Great if you love variety, less so if you demand uniformity.
As well as the power connector, the Palit RTX 5070 Ti GameRock can be plugged into your ARGB via this port, letting the card match the colouring of the rest of your system. Mmm harmonious.
