Sapphire RX 9060 XT Nitro+ Review

The box for the Nitro+ feels a bit old school. It’s been a while since we’ve had a box that isn’t just a picture of the product. Nice.
There is a simplicity to the shroud design Sapphire have employed that you’ll either love or loathe. It’s dimpled like a golf-ball, and that’s about it. The Tri-X fans blow air across the composite heatpipes, which is all we really need. As you will see in a moment, or right now if you look at the image at the top, this is a card that puts all it’s aesthetic eggs in the side on basket.
Around the back we find a similarly spartan design as the front. The back is absolutely dominated by the cutout. There is, however, the Sapphire Nitro logo and AMD Radeon logo if you like something to look at.
A closer look at the huge cut-out giving you a glimpse of the heatpipes and high fin density heatsink beneath.
It’s little touches like this that we enjoy. So many companies call a product a particular name but only stick their main company name on it. Sapphire have a logo that is more than just the word. Placed here it’s both subtle and yet obvious. We like it.
Utilising the tried and tested PCI Express power connector is something Radeon cards are sticking to. Given that most people will upgrade to one of these, and thus have a PSU that can easily support it, we completely understand.
If you want to connect the RX 9060 XT Nitro+ to your ARGB ecosystem then Sapphire give you the means to do so with the minimum of fuss.
Lastly at the business end we have two HDMI 2.1 ports and a DisplayPort 2.1a. Enough options to suit most people.
