Sapphire RX 9060 XT Nitro+ Review

Introduction

We feel it’s fitting that the newest AMD Radeon cards arrived in our office with versions from the two biggest names in Radeon cards, XFX and Sapphire. If you know your GPU history you’ll know that there was a period when Nvidia were totally dominating the market, to the point we genuinely worried the Radeon brand would vanish. Still Sapphire and XFX kept plugging away. That patience, and loyalty, has been rewarded. AMD’s Radeon range is perfect for those who want all the latest technologies at an affordable price point.

Sapphire have always had a few models in their range to choose from, and the best has regularly been the Nitro+. When we reviewed the RX 9070 XT we had the Sapphire Nitro+ and it was a monster. So you can imagine that having already seen how a reference clock card goes, we couldn’t wait to get the Nitro+ into our test rig and see how a factory overclocked model would go. Have AMD done enough to bring a genuine ray-trace capable card to market under £400? Have Sapphire continued to work their magic in both the build quality and usability stakes? As always there is only one way to find out.

We know you’re as eager as we are, so let’s cast our eye across the card in the flesh before we begin to put it through it’s paces.
