Tom Clancy's The Division PC Performance Review

4K Testing with AMD R9 Fury X and Nvidia GTX 980Ti

When testing this game we decided to use the games built in benchmarking tool, as we found the benchmark’s average framerate performance to be very similar to that in game performance, though we also found the minimum framerates in the benchmark to be lower than what we experienced in gameplay.

Typically at 4K we found that average GPU performance was identical to the benchmark tool, but our recorded Minimum framerates were around  8FPS higher on average, meaning that the game is fairly playable at 4K if you can handle dips below 60.

At 4K we can see that R9 Fury X take the lead over the Nvidia GTX 980Ti in almost all cases, but it is clear that both GPUs are pretty close contenders given their similar average framerates. When looking at both GPUS minimum framerates we can see that AMD has the clear advantage, offering the more stable gaming experience, though I would not personally recommend playing the game at much higher than the games low preset at 4K, unless you have a multi-GPU setup.
