4K Screenshot Graphical Comparison – The Grand Campaign Map

In the Chaos wastelands in the north, we have a great opportunity to see how draw distances in the map can change at different graphical settings. At the left of the screen we can see that the textures for roads are rendered at larger distances away with higher graphical settings and more mountains in the distance become visible.   

At the lowest settings water is just a flat blue pond, but at higher settings waves form and the water reacts differently to light and shadows. While Total War Warhammer does primarily take place on a single continent, naval travel is possible, whether it be in the large rivers of the Empire or in other larger bodies of water. 

 

        

 

Here we can see again how the environment changes when playing the game at higher settings, especially when it comes to terrain textures and the quality of settlements.
