Our review sample is the largest option Cooler Master provide, the XL. It’s a behemoth and perfect if you want to festoon your desk with soft cloth goodness and colourful lighting.
It might be a small thing but, besides the obvious size of the thing, the coolest element of the MP750 packaging is an included square of material to let you feel how the cloth is textured. We’re old enough to be reminded of the feelies you used to get in Infocom game boxes, but we accept that 99% of you won’t have a clue what we’re on about.
These giant gaming surfaces can be a bugger to get flat with their tight roll in the box, but Cooler Master have eliminated this as much as can be realistically possible by supplying the MP750 wrapped around a cardboard tube ensuring the smallest section hasn’t been wrapped too tightly.
The connectivity is handled by a micro USB equipped power section which also has a button on it to cycle through the main shades on the off-chance you want to quickly change without installing the software.
Yes, the XL MP750 certainly counts as enormous. Those with small desks need not apply. Fortunately there are smaller options available if you don’t want to put your keyboard on it too.
