Corsair Glaive RGB Pro Mouse Review

Big, bold and beautiful, the sunny yellow makes us think of summer and the glorious weather we’ve currently been going through here on this sceptred isle. Having a bit of sun might not be that shocking if you live in Spain or California, but in Britain an hour of sun counts as shorts weather. Whilst we might be stuck inside testing mice it’s good to get a little bit of cheer in the Corsair packaging.

  
  

If you’ve been following our reviews for a while then the Glaive will be very familiar as it’s an updated version of a mouse we reviewed a couple of years ago. Given how quickly the mouse market moves and the importance of remaining at the leading edge, especially with the rise of eSports, it’s nice to see Corsair aren’t resting on their laurels. Or their hardys.

  

There are four large low-friction feet on the underside which help keep the Glaive gliding across your gaming surface of choice. We’re using the the Corsair MM350 in these photos and for our testing.

  

The swappable side panels come in three flavours, from the flush type of the first photograph, through a small ledge in the middle and the full thumb ‘shelf’ at the bottom. Changing between each is a matter of moments thanks to the clever attachment system and yet the side panels don’t remotely wobble or flex or feel anything other than a part of the mouse as if it was designed that way. The side buttons are a curious combination of both large and yet recessed. Even with the smallest side panel on you can’t just roll your thumb up to them but need to make a conscious effort to hit them every time. Great for a claw grip, not so much fun with a palm style. We’ll cover this more in our conclusion.
