Corsair MM700 and Katar Pro XT Mouse Review
Katar Pro XT
The Katar Pro XT arrives in the famous Corsair yellow packaging that is instantly recognisable. Clear product imagery sits alongside feature highlights. Bold and simple.
Normally we don’t talk a lot about cables, but the braiding on the Katar Pro XT is outstanding. Not only does it protect the cable and look the business, but it’s extremely soft and flexible. We all know the pain of gradually smoothing out the kinks in a cable when you’re first using it, but the Katar has no such issues. It’s outstanding and worth the price of admission.
On the underside we find two very large PFT feed to keep the Katar moving smoothly over the slick MM700 surface. It really speaks to the laser focus of the Katar design.
With just a pair of buttons on the side allied to the light weight we’ll see below, the sides of the Katar Pro XT are only lightly textured, but they don’t need to be supremely grippy. It barely weighs anything and isn’t all that large either.
By taking the wireless element away from the Corsair Katar wireless we reviewed last year the weight of the Katar Pro XT has been trimmed down to a featherweight 78g.
