Corsair Dominator Platinum Special Edition DDR4 Review

Corsair Dominator Platinum Special Edition DDR4

Introduction

The Corsair Dominator Platinum is one of our favourite RAM kits, combining fantastic looks with the robustness and reliability for which Corsair are famed.

When we heard that they were producing a very limited number of kits in Chrome and Blackout we just had to get a set to see what they looked like, and we know that you’ll all be eager too. If you’ve ever needed an excuse to chrome plate your case – and by now we’re stunned nobody has done a mirror case – then this might be just the inspiration to do so.

With only 500 kits of each type available the need to leap on to the website of your favourite purveyor of PC Hardware has rarely been more pressing. Updated lighting is combined with specially binned Samsung ICs to produce a product which promises to go as well as it looks.

It’s available in either 4x8GB (total 32GB) of DDR4 3200MHz, or 2x16GB (32GB) DDR4 3200MHz, to suit all applications. With white LEDs an dan aluminium heatspreader, if you’ve got a DDR4 motherboard you owe it to yourself to check out the Dominator Platinum Special Edition.

But enough preamble. Let’s take a look at them and then put them in a system.
