ASUS ROG STRIX 1000W Gold Aura White Edition PSU Review

Conclusion

The ASUS ROG STRIX 1000W Gold Aura White Edition is a solid PSU for white gaming builds

ASUS’ new ROG STRIX 1000W Gold Aura White Edition PSU is a great looking product. The unit itself is heavy, and its build quality is fantastic. We really need to put on our pedant’s hat to find any real faults with this unit. For one, this “White Edition” PSU could use a little more white. That said, this PSU would look great is any white PC build.

One great thing about this power supply is its noise levels. This PSU is quiet! Up to 600W loads, this PSU runs fanlessly, and we could never hear it during our testing procedures. This PSU will be the quietest non-passive product inside most of the PCs that use it. There’s a reason why Cybenetics gave this PSU their rarely given Lambda A+ noise rating.

Efficiency-wise, this PSU delivers the performance levels that we expect from 80+ Gold rated power supplies. Voltage Stability is also pretty good. Remember that this is an ROG Strix series PSU, not a higher-end ROG Thor series product. This is the lower-end of the ASUS ROG PSU spectrum. Despite this, the Strix AURA delivers strong results.

All in all, this power supply delivers on all of its promises, offers a strong aesthetic, and has exceptional build quality. With this in mind, the ASUS ROG Strix 1000W Aura White Edition deserves our seal of approval.
