A Excellent PSU for ATX 3.1, an Incredible PSU for ATX12VO
To say that we are happy with the Enermax PlatiGemini 1200W is an understatement. We love this power supply. While its headline feature is its support for both the ATX 3.1 and ATX12VO standards, our love for this unit stems from its build quality and performance. We rarely work with ATX12VO products, but when we do in the future, this will be our go-to power supply.
If the PlatiGemini is anything, it is versatile. We haven’t seen any power supplies launch with ATX 3.1 and ATX12VO support before. This feature alone guarantees that owners of this unit will be able to continue using it long-term. This power supply comes with a 10-year warranty, and we expect owners to use it for its entire lifespan, even if ATX12VO replaces the older ATX12V standard.
Efficiency-wise, this PSU runs exactly as expected. The 80+ Platinum efficiency rating is a high one, and while more efficient PSUs are available, those PSUs come with a huge price premium.
Moving onto ripple is where we see the Enermax PlatiGemini excel. This PSU delivers some of the best ripple results that we have seen. These results mark the PlatiGemini as a top-class power supply. We would gladly use this PSU inside one of our main work systems or a personal system. It is clear that Enermax put a lot of effort into this power supply, and we love them for it!

Honestly, the Enermax PlatiGemini doesn’t leave us with much to complain about. This is a solid power supply, and an excellent option for all users looking for something in this capacity range. It supports all of the latest standards including ATX 3.1, PCIe 5.1, and ATX12VO. That latter rating is a rarity within the consumer PC market, and this unit’s strong results in our testing makes it our go-to PSU for any future ATX12VO testing.
All-in-all, the Enermax PlatiGemini is an excellent power supply. It’s voltage ripple results are awesome, and it is clear that Enermax has put a lot of effort into fine-tuning this hybrid power supply. For those reasons, this power supply deserves the OC3D Performance Award.
