Super Flower Leadex VII Gold White 1000W and 1300W PSU Review
Conclusion
Conclusion – Our thoughts on the Super Flower Leadex VII Gold series
Power Supply reviews are often boring. If I’m honest, that is a good thing. Component selection can be a tough process when building a PC, and when it comes to PSUs, most of us just want something that works.
With its relatively compact 150mm length, solid efficiency levels, and great build quality, Super Flower’s Leadex 1000W and 1300W units leave us with nothing to complain about. Both units deliver exactly what they promise, and they look fantastic.
Like all modern PSUs, the Leadex VII series is ATX 3.0 and PCIe 5.0 ready. In fact, this unit actually exceeds the ATX 3.0 specification with 235% power excursion support. That’s a good bit higher than the 200% that the standard requires. The PSU also had a neat option with its eco mode, which allows users to choose if they want this PSU to operate in a fanless mode under low loads.
We always recommend that PC builders purchase power supplies from a reputable brand. Super Flower is a brand that we hold in high regard. Yes, they may not be as well known as some other PSU makers, but their units are always solid, at least based on our experience with them. If you are a fan of EVGA, you should know that Super Flower are the OEM behind their Supernova series of PSUs.
With power options ranging from 750W to 1300W, the Leadex VII Gold series has all of the wattage options that PC builders require. They deliver solid efficiency and ripple levels, and I think they look great. We can’t really ask for anything more from these PSUs, which is why the Leadex VII Gold 1000W and 1300W have received our seal of approval.
