Assassin’s Creed Mirage PC Performance Review and Optimisation Guide

Upscaler Testing – DLSS, XeSS, and FSR 2

Upscaling in Assassin’s Creed Mirage’s PC version

Assassin’s Creed Mirage has launched with support for Intel XeSS, Nvidia DLSS, and AMD FSR 2. Add on the game’s TAA upscaler, and PC gamers have four resolution upscalers to choose from, with TAA super resolution being the lowest quality option. Sadly, Assassin’s Creed Mirage lacks support for frame generation technologies like Nvidia DLSS 3 or AMD FSR 3, at least at launch.

XeSS, DLSS, and FSR 2 all provide gamers with a welcome performance boost and high quality upscaling results. This is especially true at 4K, though it is worth noting that we found that DLSS and XeSS delivered sharper results when using lower input resolutions. FSR 2 worked well in its high quality mode at 4K, but in lower quality modes it suffered.
