Call of Duty: Black Ops - Cold War PC Performance Review & Optimisation Guide

Graphical Preset Scaling Is Ultra much more demanding than High?

As we noted on page 4, the performance gains offered by Call of Duty: Black ops Cold War’s Ultra settings are not that huge when compared to the game’s High settings, making the performance gains seen below from moving from High to Ultra highly significant. That’s a 9.6% performance gain by using high settings instead of Ultra. Not bad for an almost indistinguishable quality loss.

Medium settings are what is recommended by Cold War’s developers, offering gamers a great balance between image quality and performance. Going lower will have more notable graphical compromises.
