Call of Duty: Black Ops – Cold War PC Performance Review & Optimisation Guide
Graphics Options & System Requirements
Call of Duty: Black Ops – Cold War boasts some high system requirements. While the game will run on GPUs as low end as Nvidia’s GTX 670, 60 FPS at Medium settings requires Nvidia’s GTX 1660 Super or AMD’s Radeon RX 580. 60 FPS is what Call of Duty players should be aiming for, making GPUs below the game’s recommended standard hard to, well… recommend.Â
While Windows 7 support is possible for Black Ops: Cold War players, it is also not recommended. Black Ops: Cold War may support older systems, but these systems are far from ideal from a gameplay perspective.Â

PC SettingsÂ
The PC version of Balck Ops: Cold War features a wealth of graphics options, so much so that most of these specialised settings have little impact on Cold War’s performance and visuals on their own.Â
Strangely, none of our systems would allow us to enable Screen Space Reflections using its highest settings, moving back to Low after each setting change. This happened regardless of the driver of graphics cards we used. We expect this bug to be addressed soon. That said, the SSR within Black Ops: Cold War didn’t look bad at low, making this a non-issue.Â
