Fallout 4 High Resolution Texture Pack Review

Fallout 4's High Resolution texture pack has been released

VRAM Usage

To test VRAM usage we played the game for several minutes within Diamond City, with the game’s texture requirements shooting up from around 3GB to just over 6GB at 4K on our GTX 1080.

When it comes to VRAM USE GPUS frequently overfill their VRAM, just in case the GPU needs any of these additional files. This means that Fallout 4’s High-resolution texture pack can be played on GPUs with less than 6GB of VRAM, not 8GB like Bethesda state in their system requirements. Yes, PC players will need a GTX 1080 or a similarly powerful GPU to play this game at 4K ultra settings with a reasonable framerate, but that doesn’t mean that those with lower end GPUs will be unable to play this game with high-resolution textures.
