Ghost of Tsushima PC Performance Review and Optimisation Guide

FSR 3 Upscaling and Frame Generation

The best implementation of FSR 3 that we have ever seen

FSR 3 has a bad reputation when compared to DLSS, with the latter delivering higher quality upscaling results than the former in many games. In Ghost of Tsushima, FSR looks great, so much so that we wouldn’t be surprised if this game wasn’t using an early version of FSR 3.1. After all, it is the first game to offer FSR 3 Frame Generation alongside non-FSR upscalers.

Like DLSS, FSR 3 gives PC gamers a lot of scalability outside of normal graphical settings adjustments. We will note that when FSR 3 Frame Generation is enabled that Ghost of Tsushima can crash, but only when we were using Rivatuner Statistics server to present a framerate overlay. Hopefully this issue can be addressed with a future game update.
