1080p Performance – A CPU-Limited Game

Microsoft Flight Simulator is a CPU-limited game, so much so that it is hard to differentiate graphics cards above AMD’s RX Vega 56 during gameplay. They all offer similar gameplay and deliver night identical performance levels. AMD’s RDNA graphics cards lead the pack, but this is by no means a victory for Radeon. Microsoft Flight Simulator is heavily CPU limited, making 1080p benchmarks almost pointless for high-end graphics cards.

We decided not to test our Take-Off benchmark for our GPU tests, as it was more CPU limited than our higher altitude flight test and would make practically all of our graphics cards look the same performance-wise.
