Microsoft Flight Simulator Performance Patch Tested - Huge Gains!

4K Performance – surprising gains in GPU-limited scenarios

Even when Microsoft Flight Simulator is at its most GPU-limited, Asobo’s latest patch for the game deliver tremendous results. 1st percentile frametimes are dramatically increased, stutters are gone and the game feels dramatically smoother.

While Microsoft Flight Simulator remains incredibly demanding at 4K, tweaks to the right settings will allow users of high-end PCs to easily bring their performance levels into, or close to, the 60 FPS realm. Microsoft Flight Simulator may still be a demanding game, but it is hard to call the game unoptimised anymore.

In the future, Asobo plans to continue Flight Simulator’s development, which means that ray tracing, a DirectX 12 update and more alterations to Flight Simulator are possible. Microsoft Flight Simulator’s performance will probably continue to improve as more and more patches are released, which is great news for all PC players.
