Middle Earth: Shadow of War PC Performance Review
1440p Benchmarks
Moving up to a resolution of 1440p we can see that none of our GPUs was able to achieve a solid 60FPS in our testing, though all of them were able to achieve a solid 30.
In Shadow of War, like most games with an “Arkham-style” combat system, will play much better at a higher framerate, with higher framerates offering smoother animations and reduced control response times. This is a must for a game like this where fast reactions can be the difference between life and death, making a steady 60FPS much more appealing than a standard 30FPS framerate.
With some tweaking, all of the GPUs on this chart can achieve a steady 60FPS at this resolution, though users of the GTX 1060 6GB or RX 480 should consider lowering the game’s resolution scale to offer a decent balance between graphical fidelity and higher in-game resolutions.
