At 4K Middle Earth: Shadow of War shows exactly how demanding the game can be and exactly why Nvidia themselves recommends a system with GTX 1080 Ti GPUs in SLI to play this game at 4K 60FPS.   

Every GPU we tested here was unable to play Shadow of War at a steady 30 FPS, leaving most 4K gamers in the position where a lower resolution scale and lower graphical settings are the only options for higher framerate gameplay. 

Please note that there are graphical settings beyond the very high preset we used here, which means that we are at least a couple of GPU generations away from playing this game at a steady 60FPS framerate a resolution of 4K.
