4K Performance

At 4K, 60 FPS framerates are relatively easy to achieve when using today’s mid-range graphics cards, with Nvidia’s GTX 1660 Super requiring a move to High settings for a relatively stable 60 FPS in most sequences. 

For 4K Ultra settings, graphics cards like AMD’s RX 5700 or Nvidia’s RTX 2060 Super or better are required for a stable 60 FPS framerate at practically all times. Star Wars: Squadrons is a game that’s well optimised for PC. 

Sadly, we don’t have an RTX 3080 or RTX 3090 graphics card for games testing, but an RTX 3080 could likely deliver 4K 120 FPS performance throughout Star Wars Squadrons at Ultra settings. That should come as great news for premium users who own an HDMI 2.1 compatible 4K 120Hz television, or a high refresh rate 4K monitor.
