Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine 2 Update 5 DLSS/FSR Frame Generation Review

FSR 3 Frame Generation Performance

FSR 3 Frame Generation in Space Marine 2

FSR 3 Frame Generation gave us a similar experience to DLSS Frame Generation. However, we will note that overall framerate gains are much higher. AMD’s FSR Frame Generation technology is clearly a lot more performance-friendly than DLSS Frame Generation. As such, higher final framerates are possible.

Like DLSS Frame Generation, image quality remains high with FSR Frame Generation enabled. The game appears smoother at its higher framerate, and input latency was not a notable issue. Furthermore, we can report that Space Marine 2’s native Frame Generation support gives PC gamers better results than AMD users could achieve with Radeon’s driver-level Fluid Motion Frames 2 Frame Generation technology. We tested this Frame Generation option when Space Marine 2 launched.

UI elements are stable, visuals are more fluid, and image quality remains high. Frame Generation is a huge win for Space Marine 2.
