Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine 2 Update 5 DLSS/FSR Frame Generation Review
Space Marine 2 now supports Frame Generation
Update 5 has landed for Space Marine 2
Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine 2 is a fantastic game, and since its launch, Saber Interactive has taken steps to make the game better for PC gamers. For starters, PC gamers now have an optional high-resolution texture pack, making the game much more detailed. Now, the game has been augmented with support for DLSS and FSR Frame Generation support.
Now, users of compatible GPUs can use Frame Generation to boost Space Marine 2’s framerates on PC. This makes the game appear smoother in motion, assuming that your screen is fast enough to show these new frames. If you own a high refresh rate monitor, you can now enjoy Space Marine 2 with more fluid visuals.
Since Space Marine 2 can sometimes be CPU-limited (see our original PC Performance Review), frame generation will be the only way for some PC gamers to access ultra-high framerates in this game. All in all, it is a good addition to the Space Marine 2 PC toolbox. It’s just a shame that this feature was not available at launch.
What are we testing?
Today, we will be looking at the performance impact of DLSS and FSR Frame Generation. We will also be looking at how the PC performance of Space Marine 2 has changed since day 1. Does the game run faster now? We will also be talking about the image quality of generated frames in this game.
