Gigabyte Aorus NVMe Gen4 SSD

Continuing our heatsink size based ordering scheme, the Gigabyte Aorus is a 2TB drive which has a fully enclosed heatsink design in a bold hue. It is removable if you have a cover built into your motherboard, but if you haven’t or you want to run it in one of the more exposed slots then you can leave the heatsink on and keep your transfer rates high.

Corsair MP600 1TB

The Corsair MP600 is the heatsink which most closely resembles VRM heatsinks on your motherboard and would be a good choice if you’re averse to having colourful things in your system. With a giant set of fins on the front side and a thin heatspreader on the back it is perfect as an exposed drive. You can remove the heatsink by bending the tabs on the sides away, but that looks like a more permanent decision than the screws of the Aorus setup.
