Cablemod B-Series DPP Kit

Regular readers will know the Cablemod kits well, but for everyone else they are of such fantastic quality that the price point makes it seem like we’re robbing them. There is even a handy bag to store all of your spare cables, unless of course you’re the type of 15 drive, quad-GPU person who will use them all.

The best thing, besides having a full compliment of cables, is the length. So many companies seem determined to save a couple of pence by giving us the shortest possible cables that routing them all can be a complete hassle. Cablemod ones have no such issue with generous lengths, particularly the always-too-short CPU power cable and SATA cables. It makes tucking everything away behind your motherboard a joy.

My old Bengal rig had purely orange cables, and the V850 came with black ribbon style ones, so it seemed perfect to blend these into the black and orange Cablemod ones. They do wholly orange ones (amongst dozens of other options), but tigers and black and orange so it had to be the bi-colour option for me.

As you can see there is no heat-shrink stuff here. Every wire is braided beautifully and the always important combination of robustness and flexibility. If you’ve ever debated whether they are worth the expense, the answer is ‘unquestionably’.
