Cyberpower Infinity Achilles GT System Review

Cyberpower Infinity Achilles GT System Review

It’s been quite a couple of weeks in the hardware world. Just when you thought it was safe to finalise your list of desired hardware nVidia appeared with the stunning GTX780 and Intel rapidly followed up by releasing their 4th Generation CPUs and the Z87 chipset.

In one fell swoop most of us were left looking enviously at the benchmark results, and disappointingly at our own hardware which suddenly seemed obsolete. With a graphics card that makes even a GTX680 seem ponderous and a new CPU that requires a new motherboard, perhaps the time is is perfect to refresh your entire system.

Cyberpower are a big name on the other side of the pond and have been recently gaining ground on these shores. With a huge range of systems, the capability to customise them with any hardware of your choosing, and none of them being over-priced just because it’s prebuilt, it is the perfect time to see what is available if you want to purchase a completely state-of-the-art system.

Today we’re looking at their Infinity Achilles GT model which, like all their systems, comes with a 3 year warranty and telephone support from some of the most customer friendly tech people on the end of a phone.

System Specifications

Even if you’re the type of person who only check in with what’s current every now and again, you’ll still nod appreciatively at the specifications of the Infinity Achilles GT. Top line, overclocked, 4th Generation CPU cooled by a custom water loop, best single-GPU card on the market, blazing SSD, bucket loads of memory all wrapped up in a great case. Even if you sat down with a blank cheque we think you’d struggle to put together a better system for a sensible price. Of course if any part of it isn’t to your taste then Cyberpower will happily swap for alternate hardware. As always we’d recommend sticking with Windows 7 instead, but that’s personal taste.
