Intel NUC 11 Extreme Review - Ultra-Compact High-End Gaming

Gaming – Resident Evil Village and World War Z

Resident Evil Village runs incredibly well on Intel’s NUC 11 Extreme system, even with Nvidia’s RTX 3060 graphics card. Even with Ray tracing enabled, high refresh rate gameplay is possible at 1080p, and 60 FPS 4K gameplay is possible using AMD’s FidelityFX Super Resolution technology.

It’s hard to complain when you have results like this. Intel’s i9-11900KB processor is clearly capable, and so is Nvidia’s RTX 3060. If you combine this system with a stronger graphics card, 4K 120Hz gameplay is possible. Intel’s NUC 11 Extreme could be the base of a capable living-room 4K 120Hz HDMI 2.1 gaming setup. Yes, that’s an expensive setup, but the Intel NUC 11 Extreme isn’t for budget PC builders.

With World War Z we continue our high framerate journey with Intel’s NUC 11 Extreme. Intel’s i9-11900KB isn’t limiting the performance of our system’s RTX 3060. Intel’s NUC 11 Extreme is a capable gaming barebones PC platform. What more can we say?
