Intel NUC 11 Extreme Review – Ultra-Compact High-End Gaming NUC

CPU Performance – Cinebench R20 – Intel i9-11900KB

We wanted to see how well Intel’s i9-11900KB stacked up when compared to the stock CPU performance from our latest CPU reviews. While Intel’s i9-11900KB is not a chart-topper, it is certainly not a disappointment. 

In terms of single-threaded performance, Intel’s i9-11900KB is the fastest CPU in our charts. However, when multi-threaded performance is logged, the CPU lags behind. Intel’s small form factor NUC Compute Element board is inherently limited in terms of its cooling potential and maximum power draw. 

With such a small form factor motherboard and a base clock speed of 3.3GHz, this level of multi-threaded performance is to be expected. That said, despite this limitation, the i9-1900KB’s 5GHz boost clock delivers spic levels of single-threaded performance, allowing this machine to deliver some knockout results in more lightly threaded workloads.
