Gaming performance is solid, especially considering that we always run our tests on maximum detail for consistency purposes, which is expecting too much of a laptop, even a gaming one. With a more sensible option selection you can easily wring plenty of gameplay smoothness. Perhaps not from Metro, but even desktop gaming rigs struggle to make that playable.
