Up Close

We talk about this all the time and perhaps you’re tired of it, but it bears repeating. If you buy a system with plans to upgrade it later, or just add some hardware you’ve current got on hand, getting all the screws and cables is a boon. We cannot overstate how difficult it is to source extra PSU cables a few years down the line. By giving you everything at the time of purchase, PCSpecialist save future you a lot of headaches.

Accessories

Similarly the foam packing means your new purchase arrives in mint condition. We’ve tested 40 or more PCSpecialist rigs and not one has arrived in anything but mint condition.

Foam Packing

Once you’ve removed the foam packing you can see why the model name has iCUE writ large. The Corsair 3500X case is fantastically designed. Three huge intake fans are populated, with room for another at the bottom if you wish. Front and rear glass help the RGB lighting shine. Meanwhile the Corsair H100X CPU cooler is a dual fan AIO helping keep the Ryzen 9 7900X cool.

More Detail

A closer look at the Corsair H100x RGB CPU cooler. You can also see the mounting points for the case panel. Entirely toolless, they just press in. If you like looking at cables you’ll see, on this side, how cleanly the Cruise iCUE Supreme R has been built.

There are no guarantees you’ll receive the Zotac model we got with ours. The nature of these systems is that you’ll get whichever one PCSpecialist has on hand to build with. Fortunately all the RTX 4070 Ti Supers are of a similar quality.

The Corsair 3500X has two USB Type A and a single Type-C front panel connector. Perfect if you grow weary of fiddling around the back. You can also see how much mesh is in the case, moving hot air away and drawing cool air in.

This cable management speaks volumes about PCSpecialist’s approach to system building. They’re all hidden away where 90% of people will never see it, and yet it’s all very neat. For example, it looks much neater than mine and I’m sure I’m not alone in this.

Build Quality

The IO section of the ASUS B650 TUF shows you don’t need the new X870 chipsets to have a lot of connectivity since it has so many USB ports. Basically, unless you are a peripheral hoarder of hitherto unimaginable numbers, the Cruiser Supreme R has you covered.

Connectivity

Lighting

Shortly we’ll get to our benchmark results, but we wanted to show off the RGB-ness of the new PCSpecialist system. Corsair’s iCUE ecosystem is easy to use, and with so many components in the Cruiser iCUE Supreme R you can have a proper light show. The 3500X case also has enough glass to light up the room. It’s glorious.
