PCSpecialist Quantum Master S System Review

PCS Quantum Master S Up Close
Like all PCSpecialist systems the Quantum Masters S comes with all the cables, screws and what-have-you that you’d own if you purchased all these parts separately and built it yourself. This frees you up for future upgrades without having to worry about finding a power cable.
If you’ve read any of our PCSpecialist system reviews you’ll know how much we love their packaging, and the Quantum Master S is no exception. Not only do you get the expanding foam, but the lengthy RTX 4070 Ti Super is also supported by a specially cut piece of foam.
The Corsair 3000D mid tower case is hugely popular in builds around this price. Plenty of airflow, understated looks, all the room you need, no extra stuff needlessly expanding the budget.
Within the Quantum Master S is a ASUS TUF B650-Plus. As you can see from the rear of today’s review system it has plenty of connectivity options. Whether you run wired or wireless internet, or just want lots of USBs, you’re covered.
The only negative is that the front of the Corsair 3000D doesn’t have a USB Type-C connector. Those are so prevalent these days that not having one makes the case feel old. Still we like the yellow USB ports so common to Corsair cases.
Insides
Having reviewed many affordable PCSpecialist systems we were surprised to see the Frostflow 200 cooler in place. We’re so used to their Frostflow 100, a 120mm air-cooler, that the twin tower, twin fan cooler is a nice surprise.
A closer view of the twin fan, twin tower PCS FrostFlow 200 cooler. None more black. The 120mm single tower FrostFlow 100 we’ve seen a lot of has the PCS logo in RGB lighting. No frivolity here. It’s black on black.
Cast your eyes further down you’ll see the RTX 4070 Ti Super. Here it is in in Zotac form, although we should remind you that isn’t a given. You receive whichever brand PCSpecialist have on hand that day, although all are equally capable. Besides, you should look at the screen not the case.
What little lighting there is is mainly provided by the Corsair RAM.
