PCSpecialist Volt 750 Review

Introduction

When you’re in the market for a new gaming rig you usually have a couple of choices when it comes to graphics cards. Do you go with AMD or do you go with Nvidia? Both have their benefits and drawbacks. Like so many decisions, your own use will determine which.

What if there is another way? A third option? Dispense with the two party system and look to an independent candidate. In this exact scenario though we don’t mean a new upstart with all the instability that provides. We mean Intel. More specifically, the Intel Arc A750 graphics card.

The newest system from PCSpecialist, the Volt 750, takes this graphics card and a host of other hardware providing extreme value for money, and blends them into a rig which can give you over 60 FPS in any game at 1080P, for £699. It almost seems impossible. However, like all of the PCS systems we review you can tell they’ve carefully chosen the specifications. Combine that with Intel’s understanding that their name means much less in the GPU world and thus their Arc cards are priced low, and you have a system that might surprise you.

It’s the ultimate expression of the no frills, affordable, ideology. All of the purchase cost has gone into performance. Let’s run through the specifications.
