PCSpecialist Volt 750 System Review

As is always the case with a PCSpecialist system, as well as all the spare cables and screws, you get the foam insert. We cannot overstate how continually brilliant this is. Every system we receive is flawless. We know we’re not the only people who have experienced the disappointment of a much-awaited product arriving broken. This, and their foam and heavy cardboard external packaging, ensures that a system from PCSpecialist will never be on the list.
At this price we wouldn’t expect a glitzy case with a host of bells and whistles. However, embedded within the cross/y here is an RGB LED. So it’s not totally without a little glamour.
Around the back you can get the first glimpse of the connectivity on offer from the ASUS Prime H610-CSM. It might be free of Type-C USB ports, but otherwise there is a broad array of options.
At this sub £700 price point we weren’t expecting a lot inside the Volt 750, and sure enough there isn’t much. However, don’t be fooled. The PCS 120mm air cooler is more than capable of keeping the Core i5-12400F running smoothly, and all the front panel connections on the case work. Simple, but effective.
A good selection of front panel USB ports minimise how many times you’ve got to dig around at the back of your case. Exactly the type of thing our laziness appreciates.
This is the star of the show though. Intel’s Arc A750 graphics card is ridiculously affordable when compared to the competition and our first time exploring its potential. By using this, rather than an AMD or Nvidia card, PCSpecialist have managed to keep the Volt 750 at this low price point.
