We Visited PCSpecialist – Here’s what we found

Pallets, pallets, and more pallets 

If you are building more than 100,000 PCs per year, you need to buy components in bulk. PCSpecialist have to build hundreds of PCs every day, and they simply can’t afford to run out of components.

Simply put, PCSpecialist’s warehouse has more PC components than you could imagine. Hardware is ordered by the pallet, and a single pallet of components is not enough to keep PCSpecialist in stock for long.

The logistics behind PCSpecialist’s PC building operation are insane, with much of the company’s shelved hardware already being allocated to future orders, orders that are simply waiting to be built.

Below, we can see huge stacks of monitors, including gaming monitors from ASUS and custom PCSpecialist monitors for their own-branded systems. The image below showcases only a single layer of a single isle PCSpecialist’s hardware stacks, and that only scratches the surface of what PCSpecialist has in its warehouse.

Below, you can see are stacks of PC cases. This is the kind of hardware volume that PCSpecialist requires to operate efficiently. To stand within PCSpecialist’s warehouse is to feel like an ant in a maze. The scale of this operation is beyond what most people can imagine. 

Every PC needs a power supply, and below we can see PSUs from Corsair and ASUS. This really puts into perspective the sheer number of power supplies that Corsair and their competitors produce, as this is how many a single, albeit large, system integrator requires to stay in business.

  
Graphics Cards!

Today’s PC market is GPU starved, and below we can see several boxes of Nvidia GT 730 and GT 1030 graphics cards. While these GPUs are not designed for gamers, they are useful for many of the systems that PCSpecialist supplies to retailers like Currys/PC World and other retailers.

If this is the volume of low-end discrete GPUs that PCSpecialist needs to operate. Just imagine how many high-end gaming GPUs are needed…

A Pallet of Graphics Cards

As a supplier of gaming systems, PCSpecialist requires huge numbers of graphics cards to keep itself afloat. In today’s market, keeping GPUs in stock must be a challenge, but PCSpecialist are coping.

Yes, below we have a picture of a full pallet of Zotac graphics cards. Specifically, this pallet is of Zotac RTX 3080 Trinity OC LHR graphics cards. All of these graphics cards have already been allocated to soon-to-be-built gaming systems. As you can imagine, PCSpecialist’s graphics cards don’t stay on their pallets for long.

Within PCSpecialist’s warehouse we also found a selection of AMD RX 6000 series GPUs, including some models from Sapphire and XFX. 

PCSpecialist are currently working through a backlog of pre-Christmas orders that they need to ship to customers in time for Christmas.

Beside all of Corsair’s PSUs is a huge number of Gigabyte motherboards, including large quantities of B550, B450 and H410 series motherboard models. Each of these motherboards are destined to be part of a new PC, a PC that will be hand built in Wakefield and shipped to customers across Europe.
