Team Group releases their new T-Force GC PRO PCIe Gen 5 SSD

Team Group has launched their second series of InnoGrit-powered PCIe 5.0 SSDs

Team Group has today released their new T-Force GC PRO PCIe 5.0 SSD. This new SSD delivers users sequential read speeds of up to 12,500 MB/s using InnoGrit’s 12nm IG5666 SSD controller. Yes, this PCIe 5.0 SSD isn’t using a Phison controller, a factor that makes this SSD an interesting new addition to the SSD market.

This SSD is a lower-end version of Team Group’s T-Force GE PRO SSD. This SSD uses the same controller as the T-Force GC PRO, offering users sequential read speeds of up to 14,000 MB/s. The GC PRO, being a slower SSD than the GE PRO, should be available at a lower price than the GE PRO.

The GC PRO is available in 2TB and 4TB forms and promises users up to 12,500 MB/s sequential reads, and up to 11,000 MB/s sequential writes. Each drive has an endurance rating of 1,200 TBW and 2,400 TBW respectively. That means that you can rewrite this entire SSD every day for 600 days. Since most users will not be rewriting their entire SSD that often. As such, these drives are expected to last well beyond their 5-year warranty period.

Team-Group recommends that owners of this SSD use a heatsink to cool this storage solution. Out of the box, this SSD does not ship with a heatsink. Standard PC motherboard heatsinks should be sufficient to cool this SSD.
