MSI RTX 5090 Suprim SOC Review
Introduction and Technical Specifications
Introduction
The MSI Suprim brand has quite a following amongst the cognoscenti. The last one we reviewed was the RTX 4090 Suprim X, which means that the appearance of the new flagship Blackwell card from Nvidia, the RTX 5090, seems like the perfect opportunity to look at the next one. MSI have two different versions of the Suprim available. There is an 360mm liquid equipped model, and the one we have today, the Super Overclock Suprim.
If you’ve appeared here without reading our review of the Nvidia RTX 5090 FE then you can catch up on what new technologies there are by reading this page. Should you already be up to speed then you’re no doubt excited to find out how a monster card from one of the big manufacturers performs. Should you have kept up with the news prior to this launch you might also be curious as to the size. There were rumours swirling that the RTX 5090 was a quad slot beast. The Founders Edition proved to be a two slot card. What about the Suprim?
Rather than keep you waiting, or guessing, you already know this is the newest flagship Nvidia card. Those are words that pique the interest of anyone who is even aware of what a video game is, let alone those of us who use them to distract from the noises in our head. Your illustrious writer can barely keep from salivating. Let’s go.
Technical Specifications
MSI continue the work of Nvidia by being extremely coy regarding the specifications of the Suprim. For now you’ll have to make do with the official Nvidia specifications table. We’ll find out the rated clock speed in a few pages time.
