ASUS’ ROG Crosshair X870E Edition 20 is so custom, it needs its own liquid cooler
ASUS’ 20th Edition ROG motherboard is truly special
ASUS has showcased many “Edition 20” products at Computex 2026. The 20th anniversary of ROG has seen ASUS release a special edition PSU, GPU, motherboard, and even a handheld. What we think is the most special is the ROG Crosshair X870E Edition 20, a motherboard that is incredibly high-end and incredibly ROG. A cut above other motherboards, with tonnes of connectivity options and add-ons.
In total, this motherboard can support up to nine M.2 devices. It features a robust 24+2+2 power stages and a full-copper VRM thermal solution. One special aspect of this motherboard is that its all-copper VRM doesn’t end there. This motherboard is designed to be used with ASUS’ bundled ROG Ryujin 360 Edition 20 CPU cooler. This custom CPU liquid cooler uses a pure-copper cold plate that cools both the user’s CPU and the motherboard’s VRM heatsink. In a sense, this gives the motherboard liquid-cooled VRMs, albeit indirectly.
The ROG Ryujin 360 Edition 20 also features Asetek’s EMMA Gen 20 V3Rx pump and features a swivelable dual 6.67-inch AMOLED LCD setup. These two screens can be controlled separately or together. When used together, they give the appearance of a single, larger screen. This gives users of this motherboard plenty of space for data, custom images/video, or other visuals.

If there is one thing to say about this motherboard, it’s that it’s over the top. It puts the extra in extravagant. It is a celebration of ROG in its purest form, an ultra-high-end motherboard that takes things to another level.
This motherboard celebrates modern ASUS products with its BTF design, cable-free AIO connectivity, and strong use of a DIMM.2 slot. When this motherboard launches, expect it to cost an arm and a leg. The motherboard itself is already high-end, and then it has its custom liquid cooler on top of it. Remember, this cooler uses two screens to look like it has a really big screen, and those screens aren’t cheap.
