It’s finally happening – The MSI Maestro 900R is ready to launch!
MSI’s finally ready to release its Maestro 900R PC case
We visited MSI’s booth at CES 2026 and were once again impressed by the MSI Maestro series. We’ve been a fan of the series since the 2024 Maestro 700L PZ (review here, build here), and we’ve been following the development of the Maestro 900 with interest. Now, the case is called the Maestro 900R, and its almost ready to launch.
Since we first saw this case at CES 2025, a lot has changed. For starters, the case is now smaller. It’s still a behemoth, but it’s not as large as its original prototype. It still supports EATX motherboards and GPUs up to 400mm long, so rest assured that this case remains HUGE.
At the MSI booth, we saw this PC case in two forms: its standard form and its 40th Anniversary form, which you can see above.
MSI has confirmed that its Maestro 900R is now in production, and will be released in Q3 2026. They also confirmed that this case will cost $699, which was not unexpected given this case’s size and weight. This is a case for ultra-premium PCs with Godlike motherboards.

At the MSI Booth, the company has fully built-out rooms dedicated to its MEG, MPG, and MAG sub-brands. In the MEG room, a fully built system was inside the Maestro 900R. This system included MSI’s RTX 5090 Lightning Z graphics card, its MEG Ai1600T PCIE5 PSU, its MEG CoreLiquid E15 360m CPU liquid cooler, and AMD’s Ryzen 9 9950X3D2 CPU. Now that’s a powerful PC.
Features
The Maestro 900R retains the removable motherboard tray of its earlier prototypes. This motherboard tray can be used as a test bench, allowing users to test their hardware without integrating it into the case. The test bench/motherboard tray can also be installed in four orientations, depending on user preference.
The Maestro 900R will ship with a vertical GPU mount pre-installed and with a PCIe Gen 5 riser card within its accessories box. MSI knows that users of this case will want a vertically mounted graphics card, so they have supplied the necessary parts to make it happen.
With its launch coming in Q3, the wait is finally over. We’ve been wondering about the fate of this case since CES 2025, so we are excited to see what this case will be like to build in. We hope to review this case as it approaches its launch. Expect to hear our full thoughts about the case soon.
