AMD Ryzen 7 9850X3D CPU pricing leaks

US pricing leaks for AMD Ryzen 7 9850X3D gaming CPU

Based on a new US pricing leak, AMD’s Ryzen 7 9850X3D gaming CPU will launch at a price similar to today’s Ryzen 7 9800X3D. Based on prior leaks, AMD’s 9850X3D will be a higher-speed version of the 9800X3D, with both CPUs featuring eight cores and sixteen threads.

In a screenshot leaked by @momomo_us, AMD’s new X3D CPU was listed for $511.44. The Ryzen 7 9800X3D was listed with a price of $489.72. This makes the Ryzen 7 9850X3D just $22 more expensive than today’s 9800X3D.

Recent leaks for AMD’s Ryzen 7 9850X3D gaming CPU give the CPU a boost clock speed of 5.6 GHz. This is 400 MHz higher than AMD’s Ryzen 7 9800X3D. Leaked benchmarks also give the CPU single-threaded and multi-threaded performance gains of around 4.7%.

AMD’s website recently confirmed the existence of its Ryzen 7 9850X3D CPU. As such, it is only a matter of time before AMD officially unveils this processor. There are also reports of a Ryzen 9 9950X3D2 CPU. Recent benchmark leaks for the new X3D2 suggest this SKU could launch after AMD’s Ryzen 7 9850X3D. This makes sense given the increased complexity of a dual X3D CPU design.
