Gainward RTX 5080 images leak – Nvidia’s ready to ship!

RTX 5080 leak confirms that Nvidia’s ready to launch their RTX 50 series

@wxnod over on Twitter/X has released an image of several Gainward RTX 5080 GPUs. Sadly, their boxart doesn’t showcase the design of their upcoming graphics card. However, this boxart does confirm that Nvidia’s RTX 5080 is a 16GB GPU, much like last week’s MSI RTX 5080 leak.

The leaked image below shows a stack of three RTX 5080 GPUs. That’s a clear sign that these GPUs are being shipped in preparation for their retail launch. Nvidia is due to reveal their RTX 50 series GPUs in less than 24 hours at their CES 2025 keynote.

Sadly, this GPU’s packaging has revealed no RTX 50 series technological changes. This GPU ships with a three-year warranty and 16GB of GDDR7 memory. Aside from that, nothing is known about this RTX 5080.

Nvidia is due to reveal its RTX 5080 graphics card on January 6th. Rumour has it that the GPU will become available on January 21st. Recent specifications leaks state that Nvidia’s RTX 5080 has 10,752 CUDA cores and a 400W TDP. This is 10% more CUDA cores than Nvidia’s RTX 4080. However, it should be noted that the clock speeds and architectural benefits of Nvidia’s RTX 50 series architecture are unknown. Rumour has it that this GPU is 10% faster than today’s RTX 4090.
