PlayStation showcase’s Until Dawn Remakes’ enhanced PC/PS5 visuals

Until Dawn is coming to PC and PlayStation 5 on October 4th

Sony has announced that Until Dawn will be coming to PC and PlayStation 5 on October 4th. This new version of the game is built using Unreal Engine 5, offering gamers a huge range of improvements. The new version of the horror classic will feature improved visuals, new motion capture, reworked animations, and more movie-like cinematography. With the game’s new trailer (below), you will be able to see the game’s old and new versions side-by-side.

Supermassive’s horror game was a huge hit when it launched on PS4 in 2015. The game’s success resulted in the creation of The Dark Pictures Anthology and The Quarry. These successors all launched on PC and other non-Sony gaming platforms. Only Until Dawn was locked to Sony’s PS4 platform. Soon, the game will be available on PC and PlayStation 5. On PC, Until Dawn will be available on both Steam and the Epic Games Store.

Ballistic Moon, the developer behind the remaster, has “endeavoured to keep the fantastic narrative integratory of the original”. That said, the studio has taken the opportunity to “expand upon unexplored emotional parts of the story”. This means that the remaster should include new scenes that players of the original will not have seen before.
