Corsair Void Pro RGB Headset Review

Corsair Void Pro RGB Headset Review

Introduction

The Corsair Gaming range has been a fantastic selection of peripherals since it was first introduced. Their mice are excellent, the K series of Keyboards is amongst the finest around, and their Void headsets were equally successful when they replaced the Vengeance range a couple of years ago.

Technology marches on inexorably though, and Corsair have refreshed their Void range of headsets with a selection of Dolby 7.1 models to suit all needs and budgets.

Last time we reviewed a Void headset we had the 7.1 Wireless, and for today’s review of the Void Pro range we’ve got the RGB USB model in the office. We know that many people find a wireless headset a nervous experience because you’re always concerned that it’s about to go flat at a key moment, so the USB wired model should find plenty of fans.

Technical Specifications

The whole Void Pro range has a consistent set of features with the main differences being either colour options, connection options or, in the case of the analogue Void Pro Surround, RGB lighting. Otherwise it is the de facto headset standards of 50mm drivers supporting a frequency response of 20Hz – 20kHz, 32Ω impedance and a 100Hz – 10kHz microphone.

Let’s see how the Void Pro RGB USB looks.
