Up Close:  Interior Rear

Being as there’s not a lot going on at the front, we’re expecting the rear of Motherboard area to be quite busy.  However when we first look at it, it all looks pretty plain.  Looks though, can be deceiving.

To begin with there’s a whopping 25mm of cable management space back here.  Now that might seem like a great deal if you’re talking about a full size case such as the Fractals we’ve recently looked at, but it’s huge for a Midi Tower such as this.

Here we can see the twin SSD bracket we first observed when we looked in from the other side.  There are’t any quick release mounts here, which is fine by us. To mount the SSDs simply unscrew the bracket, screw the SSDs on from the other side, and re-mount the bracket.  Job Done.

So we haven’t got rubber grommeted management holes, but we have got be quiet! branded hook and loop cable management tapes in the rear.

The PSU bay is cavernous for a case this size, with a max depth of 225mm with the HDD rack in place and 258mm without it.  Seriously, though, with most PSUs being between either 150mm and 170mm there’s plenty of room on offer, with loads left over to stash unwanted cables.

The HDD rack is secured by two thumb bolts and is simplicity itself to remove and re-install.  Doing so obviously removes the option for 3.5″ drives, but opens up the front to awesome radage.

What you’re looking at here is another SSD mount.  Like the other its also capable of handling a pair of 2.5″ drives, with the drives placed on the other side and screwed through from this side.
