Up Close:  Exterior Stripped

So we mentioned that the top and front panel can be stood off by a small amount in order to aid airflow.  To aid your memories, the image below is of the case in its “closed” position

This second image is of the case with the top and front panel “open”.  Granted it’s not by much, but it does create an airflow channel which should be sufficient.

With the top panel removed we can see the roof of the Pro 6 which we have to say bears a stunning resemblance to the Pro 5 and every other 5 series case, the exception being the four black and silver topped rod like devices in the corners.  These are the spring opperated stand-offs that enable the Pro 6 to lift its lid.  There are likewise a set of four on the front although these are not well visualised as we happened to push them in while playing with them.  Not too worry though, they reactivate when the front panel is attached.

As with the 5 series, the Pro 6 comes with a brace of 140mm fans in the front, and unlike the 5 series there’s a little LED strip at the bottom that lights up either red or blue depending on the version you buy.

This view of the water cooling bracket also affords us a better view of the stand offs.  We wonder if CoolerMaster have listened too our feedback and made the bracket 7mm more shallow in order that 140mm rads may be fitted?  What do you think???
