Fractal Design Meshify C Review

 

Up Close:  Interior

As the whole case only measures 399x210x440mm (LxWxH), the interior of the Meshify isn’t exactly cavernous.  What space there is though is well utilised.  For starters, there’s a large CPU cut out, and the main cabble routing holes are grommeted and of ample size.  Up towards the roof we see that Fractal have also grommeted the upper cable access holes, which is a nice touch, especially as with that massive window you’re going to want to do a bang up cable management job.

  

 

The upper level of the front of the case is devoid of HDD racks, which leaves plenty of room for up to 3x120mm or 2x140mm fans, and of course rads, more of which we’ll come to later.  As you can see though, the Meshify does come with a single fan up front, which in this instance is a black bladed version of their classic Dynamic X2 GP-12 fan.

 

 

The bottom of the case has a false floor, beneath which lurk the PSU and a small HDD rack.  To enable the larger 360mm rads to be fitted, Fractal have included a removable panel towards the front. 

 

 

The rear of the Meshify has another of the GP-12s in place, and again, it’s a black bladed version.  We’re not entirely sure why they’ve done this as with the large window it would be nice to see the trademark white bladed fans, but hey, each to their own we guess. 

  

 

Up in the roof there’s mounting points for 240 and 280mm rads.  There’s a bit of a stand off, so we’ll have to see just what our limitations are when we come to the water cooling part of the review.

  

 

The front panel can be completely removed, but caution is advised as the cables are captive to the front I/O  Removing this panel allows us to see that there is indeed room here for a 360 or 280mm rad, with slotted mounts to make things that little bit easier.
