Fractal Design Meshify C Review
Up Close: Â Exterior
As you can see, the Meshify C is visually quite similar to the Define C, which in itself is no bad thing. Â The first big departure from the original case is the full height, and full width Tempered glass window. Â The window is held in place by four very subtle low profile finger bolts, which although initially a little tight, unscrewed quite easily.Â
Â
The second difference between the cases is the redesigned case front, Rather than go for just a boring flat mesh panel, Fractal Design have used a press to mold in a  added a triangular 3D effect to it, and we have to say we’re really quite taken by it.
Â
The only thing that does look a little out of place is the Chrome Fractal Badge on the front. Â We think it might have looked nicer with a dark Nickel, or even Matte and Gloss Black badge
Â
Â
The front I/O consists of a power, reset, Audio in/out and a pair of USB3.0s, which keep the appearance nice and uncluttered. Â What more could you want?
Â
The roof has a magnetically attached mesh panel, which is easily removed for cleaning.
Â
Underneath the mesh panel there are mount points for 240 or 280mm rads. Â We wonder if there’s more room inside than the Define C had?
Â
At the rear it’s the standard ATX affair, with a slotted mounts for a 120mm fan only.
Â
As the Meshify C has a false floor, the PSU is first attached to the rear place and then inserted into the rear (ahem)
Â
The underside of the case reveals a full length nylon mesh filter which is easily removed via the front of the case. Â Now, this might seem like a biggy, but how many cases out there have the filter only removable via the rear, which let’s be honest is a pain in the ass as you have to move the case away from the wall to access the area.
