Noctua go all black for Computex 2018

Noctua go all black for Computex 2018

Well… once you go black… – Noctua Chromax CPU coolers

They have finally done it, Noctua is making coolers with an all-black aesthetic and without beige/brown fans. Many of us thought that this day would never come, but we now finally have a way to avoid Noctua’s iconic, yet divisive colour scheme.

It is well known that a large number of PC builders actively hate Noctua’s standard colour scheme, so much so that there has been a call for the company to abandon it for at least a decade. This divide is why Noctua has created their Redux and Chromax series’ in recent years, though now the company wants to take things one step further.

At their Computex booth, Noctua has showcased their new Chromax line of CPU coolers, revealing all-black versions of their popular NH-D15, NG-U12S and NH-L9i heatsinks, offering a stealthy aesthetic that runs as a stark contrast to most of today RGB heavy cooler offerings.

These fans are not their existing all-black server-grade bonkers RPM fans; these are consumer-oriented fans with the same designs as their brown/beige counterparts.

Noctua has stated that these fans are early in development and are set to release in Q4 2018 or Q1 2019. Noctua Brown/Beige is here to stay for new products, but now the patient amongst us know that we have all-black versions to look forward to later down the line. We can’t wait to see these coolers come through the doors of TTL towers.
