Phanteks’ Glacier One 360D30 CPU Liquid Cooler Review

Phanteks' Glacier One 360D30 CPU Liquid Cooler Review

Thermal Testing – Can Phanteks compete with other high-end AIOs?

As always, our CPU cooler testing has been conducted on an overclocked i9-9900K that is clocked at 4.8GHz at 1.2V. Using this configuration, we test the thermals of our processor using various CPU cooler under heavy loads under OCCT for 30 minutes. This testing is repeated at various fan RPMs, allowing us to create the chart below.

Phanteks’ Glacier One 360D30 delivers admirable thermal performance, but is not strong enough to take on the highest-end 360mm AIO liquid coolers that we have tested. With an asking price of £154.99 at the time of writing, this cooler does offer PC builders a lot of value, if you price in all of this cooler’s RGB add-ons, and its tidy PC features. That said, if you want the best cooling AIO possible, you will need to look elsewhere.

The Glacier One 360D30 sits between budget AIO liquid coolers like Cooler Master’s MasterLiquid 360L Core, and more expensive models like ASUS’ ROG Ryou III 360mm cooler in terms of performance at standard fan RPMs, but its performance falls much closer to the former of these at lower fan speeds. In our eyes, buyers of this cooler are trading in a few degrees of thermal performance for the RGB flash that the Glacier One offers and this cooler’s ultra-clean aesthetic.
