An ultra-clean AIO for modern PC builds – Meet Phanteks’ Glacier One 360D30

Phantek’s latest generation of all-in-one CPU liquid coolers have launched, and they are designed both to deliver better thermal results than their predecessors, and to allow PC builders to create tidier systems. 

With daisy-chainable fans and clever fan covers, Phanteks has eliminated most of the cable clutter that large liquid cooling solutions possess, and Phanteks takes things one step further by also providing users with covers that also cover the screws that hold their fans in place, giving their new liquid coolers an ultra-clean aesthetic.

Premium features from a relatively affordable liquid cooler

Daisy-chainable fans and other cable tidying features have started to become commonplace on high-end CPU liquid coolers, cutting down on cable clutter by allowing multiple fans to be powered using a single cable. Phanteks’ solution condenses what would traditionally be six fan cables (three fan power and three RGB) to one cable input, which has its signal and power delivery shared between fans using the bridge connectors below.

With an asking price of £154.99 at Overclockers UK at the time of writing, Phanteks’ Glacier One 360D30 is a highly affordable liquid cooler considering its use of premium features like daisy chainable fans, extensive RGB lighting support, and other system tidying add-ons. Phanteks have clearly put a lot of effort into the aesthetic design of these new liquid coolers, and it shows.  

As mentioned before, these new AIOs from Phanteks feature fans that offer users extensive RGB support, with lighting elements on the fronts of each fan, and sides of each fan, and around the fan’s blades. Additionally, there are lighting elements on the liquid cooler’s CPU block, elements that are subtle, but effective. 

Glacier One Specifications

Phanteks’ Glacier One D30 series is available in 240mm, 360mm, and 420mm forms, with all models supporting all of the latest AMD and Intel CPU sockets. Unlike most consumer-grade AIO CPU liqiod coolers, Phanteks’ designs even support AMD’s sTRX4, and sWRX8 sockets, which are designed for AMD’s Threadripper and Threadripper PRO processors.

All three models include daisy-chainable fans, tubing clips, and the other system tidying features of the 360mm model that we are testing today. All three models also ship with a five year warranty.
